Great place to shop Bought a PC desktop tower and was pleasantly surprised to find a very knowledgeable salesperson. He was able to tell us the difference between different fans sizes and cooling systems (air or water), what to look out for and where to find accessories online. I have had some less-than-stellar experiences in the past but this one was very good.

Ventse Troev I am writing a review of Ventse Troev. First off, some background before discussing my dealings with Ventse: I brought my Dell laptop in June 20 because the computer wouldn’t power up after I spilled water on the computer. (Yes, this was pretty stupid of me.) A technician, Chris, was able to get the computer to power up two days later. The next day, I picked up the computer. When I was working with the computer on June 23, the computer wouldn’t get pass the login screen and I brought in the computer on Sunda... read more

Why's This Place So Popular? When I first moved out to the Bay Area, all my geek friends went on and on about Fry's and how great it was, and jumped at any chance to make a trip down here. I went once or twice, and it was an impressively large store that caters to geeks; for the electronics hobbyist, it definitely has a good selection, better than your average Radio Shack. For a while, it seemed like their big thing was that they were cheap. Sure, you had to put up with horrific customer service, and quite often you'd find w... read more

Not a bad Fry's The parking situation is a bit of a problem, but once you're in, the store itself is nice and big. Plus you get the "benefit" of the standard-issue Fry's "service"!

Frys Electronics We no longer make electronics purchases at Fry's. On two occasions we were unable to return products that did not work up to par. On another purchase we were not able to redeem a $20 mail in rebate.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Fry's is one of those stores in the Bay Area that you can not live without - but wish you could. It has a wide variety of EVERYTHING electronic. Multiple vendors, wide range of prices to suite the variety. Unfortunately, it often seems that I know the store layout and the exact location of where something is located before a sales assistant can figure out who or where they are.... Customer service is very poor. Command of the english language is also lacking which adds to the confusion and the ... read more

frys Fry's Electronics is a great place to buy all your electronic needs from stereos, to gaming systems, to all your kitchen needs. and their stores are super big too. we can also "test-run" products before we actually buy them.it's great for comparing items and etc. their staff is knowledgeable and their store in neat and very organized so its easy to find what you're looking for. their prices are reasonable and they sell a variety of different brands there.

had to pay them to return the faulty battery Be very careful while buying anything at this store. I had to pay them $25 transaction fee in order to return a faulty laptop batter which could hold charge for only 5 minutes. On top of that they only gave me the rest of the money as store credit (though I don't feel like every going back to a Fry's store). They even suggested me that I should have brought my laptop to the store so that I could test the battery before buying it. Not a bad business model where you can make $25 for... read more

Best place in the area for electronics of all sorts, Pricing is generally very good and the return policy is easy and fair. The staff, in general, is helpful and know where specific products are but rather abrupt with their responses. I do not go there expecting technical help.
