Frontera Grill is the sister establishment of the more well known, Topolobampo next door. Both restaurants are from the celebrated Chef Rick Bayless, however this spot focuses more on casual dining. First I couldn't get a reservation till 8:45 pm for one, so I went early to sit at bar around 7:30 and the hostess said I could sit you now if you want. I didn't have to think about since I have been waiting almost 10 years to go. I have to say from apps to dessert it was amazing and margaritas weren't bad either. The chocolate pecan pie is to die for.
Be ready to walk into the sounds and tastes of Mexico. Topolo margarita was delicious and refreshing. The perfect balance of flavors. Order the guacamole and salsa! You will not be disappointed. Fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked to order. Plantains were a sweet fried treat. Fresh tortillas were a perfect accompaniment. Service was excellent!
Food and service were excellent. A bit loud, but it seems our little millennial friends like that. They must be more deaf than we old folks are. ;-)
