I’m crying as I write this because I truly don’t know how to put into words how grateful we are for the entire team at Friendship Hospital. Our boy, Mikey, was recently diagnosed with cancer. Extremely heartbreaking experience at this hospital. We lost our beloved dog, Lilyrose, just a few days after Friendship Hospital sent her home after an emergency visit that, in our view, did not provide the evaluation her condition warranted. Lilyrose was a 12-year-old Cavalier with congestive heart failure, managed with medication. She developed severe diarrhea and stopped eating. If you plan to bring your pet in for urgent care, I’d suggest looking elsewhere first. We think our young puppy swallowed something extremely harmful, and we have been waiting for 3.5 hours (and counting) to be seen by a doctor. I even called ahead to various urgent vet care centers to check on wait times and was told that the waiting room was “pretty quiet”. Puppy and I arrived 10 minutes later. The staff on duty this morning at 3am when we went in was amazing! We went in thinking the worst and they quickly reassured us there was nothing serious wrong with our pup. They saw us quick, were very friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend taking your pets here, they are the best in the area. We drove an hour to get here because we have been before and wouldn't trust anyone else with our pup especially at 3am. Thank you again so much to the staff this morning!!
