A country drive through Hereford leads to our two hundred acre farm in Northern Baltimore County. Surrounded by three ponds, the view is breathtaking year-round.Our family started the Friendly Farm Restaurant in Upperco, Maryland in 1959. Originally located in the existing farm house, the present building was opened in 1964 to accommodate a growing clientele. Dining is family style. Love it!! I could not possibly say enough good things about this restaurant. They make the best crab cakes I have ever had! The restaurant is very family oriented, the menu consists of seafood, roast beef, chicken, and your choice of many sides and you don't have to choose your sides you get them all. They also have a gift shop and you can visit the duck pond and feed the ducks.
Pricey for what you get! The entrees are very, very good, but the family style side dishes that come with your meal leave a lot to be desired, especially with the price of the meal. I got fried oysters which were excellent, but at $24.95 I should have something other with it than the few 'country style' side dishes offered with the meal, such as cole slaw and french fries.

The food is excellent on the regular menu in the resturant , wasn't happy with the Thanksgiving meal. Would have preferred turkey off the bone , didn't like sliced lunch meat turkey.

Love the atmosphere and the food at friendly farms!! Well worth the visit out to the country to enjoy some delicious crab cakes!l and homemade ice cream!

The waitress was very very hospitable😍😍😍the portions were good the food arrived fast and the waitresses had was on point I TREATED MY HUSBAND AND HE WAS SO THANKFUL ITS ALWAYS A NICE PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT A GOOD CRABCAKE AND DELICIOUS FRIED CHICKEN AND OMGOODNESS THOSE SUGAR ROLLS😋😋we came all the way from cockeysville🥰😍5th time there
