The 4th location of the Frida Restaurant concept continues the owner's passion for offering traditional authentic Mexican Cuisine. Located at the Americana at Brand Center. Whether inside surrounded by a colorful mural or at the patio overlooking the trolly passing by, Frida Restaurant and Bar is an excellent place for enjoyment of the flavors in Mexican Cuisine.

Try them for Happy Hour! I frequent Frida often and agree with some of the other reviews. Let's not kid ourselves -- Frida is a mexican restaurant in a high-traffic commercial shopping mall. Service, wait time and food commensurate with the audience it attracts. That said -- I REALLY enjoy the mole and guacamole. Very passable. Very yummy. And I'm a mexican food snob. That said... I'm recommending for Happy Hour. Cheap drinks and chips right after work, with other dining and entertainment nearby. Fun!
Sunday Brunch WAY TOO LOUD!! Too expensive. Terrible food. – I went there for sunday brunch April 17th. I've been to many brunches that costs range from $20 to $30, that includes champagne. The cost of brunch here was $28 but an extra $12 for the champagne, so your actually paying over $40 for the brunch. Very small selection of food and the deserts were disgusting. I saw no salads and the fruits were dry and hard. The Mariaches played right at our backs and we could not have a conversation. Except for the handmade tacos and... read more
The worse of the worse. I had a date here and this place was a not a good place to be. Slow service. Waiter sucks. Cheap quality mexican food. So DO NOT.
I've been here for dinner twice they have an exceptional service! Their food is a little pricey but I really enjoy going there for a nice evening with family and friends!!!
Seems like a decent place to grab a drink, but I wouldn't eat here again. You're better off saving your money and going to Don Cuco's down the street. They're about equally satiating and there's nothing special about Frida's dressed up El Torito dishes.
This place resembles a restaurant in the same way that a down-on-her-luck drag queen actually resembles a classy dame. The food is pretty awful, I'm afraid. And the place is noisy at night - don't go here for an intimate date. I understand that their buffet weekend brunch is tasteless but inoffensive, and very, very quiet. That's the best that you can hope for. I'll avoid any discussion about the service from the models ... er ... waiters.
Good ambience. Live music. The outdoor area is great anyway. Food is delicious. Service could be a bit faster
If you must – overpriced mexican food!! Yor better off going to El Torito. Watch hot for the habanero relish. HOT!!
My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Wait time for a table was less than 15 minutes. Hostesses were cordial but never made any eye contact. Waiter came over quickly and took our drink orders. Another server came over 5 minutes later with the wrong drinks. He asked if we were sure that these drinks were'nt ours. About 15 minutes later the waiter then came over to take our food order and was surprised that our drinks were still not delivered. He took the food order and then went and got the correct dri... read more
