I can't believe that after 4 1/2 years of hard work, patience ( on Sensei Rudy's, Wendy's, my husband's, and my part), dedication, my daughter finally got her black belt! To paraphrase her, she "finally found a place where she felt she belonged "! This is a big deal for a then 8-year-old who struggled socially despite her intelligence (got in trouble in 1st grade A LOT)! Awesome experience for me and my kid. My child has improve with her self esteem and shyness and listening skills and also paying attention, that she will need as she grows she has improvement with karate. Something that I was skeptical about puting her into, didn't know what sport to put her in but honesty I love this place for her ....awesome spirit and courage for her and myself as a parent.
They are very good with the children, and have a very nice facility. They teach the kids about respect and confidence and to be calm ,and to listen .
Great environment for children teaching defensive techniques as well as social skills...love the staff. My 8 year old daughter loves it...
My son is 4 yrs old and takes the little dragon classes.All the teachers are really good with the kids.My son loves it.
They teach much more than karate. Truly care about the kids they are working with.
My four kids all attend UMA and they have each grown in character, confidence, and strength. I am sincerely thankful to Sensei Rudy for his hard work, dedication and genuine love for his students. We moved to Fresno from out of state and UMA helped us make friends and made it feel like home. We look forward to many more years together.
