Thought I would try a new place out. Absolutely the worst seafood/onion rings/fries I have ever received at a "fresh" seafood restaurant. The onion rings and the french fries were obviously from a bag. The fries reminded me of McDonald's (at twice the cost) and the onion rings were stuck together from being frozen and were served burnt! The calamari was not fresh at all. Freshpond Seafood offers fresh caught seafood -- as well as NewEngland style fried seafood. Ordered the clam strip platter & a large fried scallop. Service was good. Atmosphere was clam shack -- without being overly fishy or sticky. Food -- Was good, but didn't blow my hair back for $60. Everything was tasted fresh, but the scallops were very wet even after frying and got very soggy; as compared to the clam strips which were perfect.
Almost like being back in New Bedford. I loved my fried claws with the belly. My pocket also liked the place.
