Had been going to French Broad Pediatrics since I was a kid. I'm now 21. Got prescribed antidepressants which positively changed my life. Aged out of the practice but ran out of my antidepressants. I had been working on finding a doctor but that takes time and I had a lot of personal things going on. We brought my daughter in for a sick visit on a Wednesday. She was complaining of sore throat and just not feeling well. I had told the PA that she often gets strep throat without usual symptoms-so please check her for it. The PA refused to do so-saying this is just allergies and that she doesn’t have any symptoms for strep. The PA sent us home and told us to “load her up” on Children’s allergy meds and nasal spray.
