I hadn't been on a bike since 2000, I originally just wanted to purchase a bike for cardio. At the end of June a friend/volunteer introduced me to Freewheelin and asked if I wanted to just build my own bike. I said sure why not, just kidding. He took me and helped me build 2 bikes. I've been riding since. Jayme, Andrew and the others have been so helpful with advice and encouragement. The environment is very positive. I enjoy seeing the excitement in the children that come to build their bikes.
Love the concept of this place. Wish I lived closer. I'd donate time to help teach kids to work on bikes.
Really love what they are doing in the community and that I can get good deals on bike gear!!
