I am very disappointed in Freestar C.U. We've been "members" since it was Joint Military C.U. My husband recently passed away, and they refuse to let me have the money in his savings acct. He was a sole proprietor and I think we set it up wrong, but you would think they could overlook that since they've known us for years. I've had an auto loan since 2016, NEVER have been late until June this year when I was laid off. Thought I had a job but it fell through. I was forced to start collecting unemployment as bills were piling up. In a show of good faith I chose direct deposit to Freestar and made clear I was on point for insurance which is mandatory. To my surprise all my funds were allocated to my loan they did not leave me with not a penny. Next check I had deposited elsewhere to be able to pay insurance and put food on the table. Going through the mortgage process it has been extremely frrustrating. Appraisals weren't ordered on time delaying the process. THEN LAST NIGHT AT 8 PM WE GOT A CALL FROM THE MORTGAGE DEPT. THEY NEED A WELL AND SEPTIC TEST HOW DO I GET SOMEONE AT 8 PM ON FRIDAY NIGHT THIS WILL DELAY CLOSING UNTIL AFTER LABOR DAY ITS BEEN ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER THEY REQUSETED DOCUMENTS THEY ALREADY HAVE I WILL THINK AGAIN IF I NEED A MORTGAGE

❤️ my credit union! The staff are awesome! Their online banking and mobile app were recently updated and are so much better! I love how the app is branded with the credit union’s name and colors. Both are very clean and easy to use. I’m also enjoying the new feature of viewing my credit score online AND on the app. Great job FreeStar Financial!!!!
