Excellent Bakery I have been going to the Freeport Bakery for years for delicious cakes and pastries. It is among my favorite bakeries in the Sacramento area. Everything is made fresh. Their cakes are awesome. My favorites from them are their carrot cakes and beehive cakes. They have tables and chairs out front if you want to sit there and eat your pastries with a good hot cup of coffee.

Excellent This place is excellent. The prices range to pretty cheap to a bit pricey, but it's worth the money. Their cakes are delicious, and I LOVE their pregels (or however it's spelled....they're pretzel bagels with cream cheese on it). Be prepared for a wait, though, even though the service is speedy.

best bakery in Sac Still the best bakery in Sacramento, maybe in California. If you want something really special, order their Fruit Basket cake, but call ahead and order it, because they are usually sold out. They use real whipped cream frosting and fresh fruit, and it literaly melts in your mouth. Great danish too. They have gone yuppie in the last few years, but that hasn't affected their quality, just their prices and atmosphere. Still worth the drive for special occasions.
definitely a 5 star place. When I found the Freeport Bakery and saw it was a bit crowded I knew it must be good. The store is absolutely adorable inside and out. I was a bit disappointed at the limited seating. But I can get past that. In addition to the great sweets, the breads are really good as well and the service was fast. Wonderful Birthday Cakes Don't be surprised if you see a line of people extending out from the bakery toward the parking lot. The eats are so fresh and tasty you'd wait in line too. You can also order your favorite coffee drink. Don't ask for low fat or low carb, the clerks will tell you to go some place else.
