Love the dark, cave like feel, the great service and the EXCELLENT cocktails!!! Time and again, they create unique, well balanced cocktails that are on par with those that love a great cocktail. My go to place in Chicago and I've lived here my entire life!
This pretentious hipster bar is a bit of a gem. Good cocktails often with obscure ingredients in pretentious hipster fashion. If wine varietals that are grown on one hillside in Spain and strange bitters and tinctures are your thing, this is your place. - though tonight i was in earshot of a drunken, post millennial (gen x?) driveling all kinds of hyper progressive bull and I actually heard him call Seattle a terribly racist city. Hmmm??? Oh well. What this old fart has to go through to get a decent cocktail.
Business response:
We love all cities equally! At the end of the day--we're so glad you found a great cocktail through the mix! Cheers
The cocktails were good, but the noise of the adjoining coffee shop and constant steam of hotel guests made it feel like a boutique hotel lobby. I'll give it another try, and ask to be seated on the other side. The hostess shouldn't seat anybody on the side that connects with the coffee shop.
This place is a great lounge-style bar. Couches, very hipster decor. Great during the day as well to do some work or read a book. Cubano sandwich is amazing. At night, the music is a little loud.
