My husband had head and neck cancer at age 65 3 years ago. He never smoked or drank. Dr. Freedman was his radiologist. 3 times he wanted to quit. It was really rough. No one can be your friend at that point. Dr. Freedman convinced him he has to continue treatment as bad as he was getting. It sounded very unfriendly and caring the way she spoke but I realized if she didn't he may not be hear now.

I began seeing Dr Freedman in June 2018 with a diagnosis of tongue cancer. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable and I trusted her completely with the care she gave me. She is kind and caring and made my wife and I comfortable and relaxed at every visit. She is personable and at times has a great sense of humor. I don't mind when doctors make mistakes, at the end of the day human error is a constant among all of us. However, how you deal with that error is what separates good doctors from criminal ones. In my father's case, he had an unexpected passing, where an unusual event occurred while receiving his radiotherapy. The machine where he was being treated flooded, & records indicate a different dosage was administered. Unfortunately, EMR records show that there were several post-mortem changes to these records. Dr Freedman is an excellent doctor in every way. The system she has in place to treat you is extremely productive. Dr. Friedman is and will be excited to help you and gets extremely excited when she sees good results. I do believe that excitement is why she chose this profession. Everything else is secondary. In my opinion.

My father passed unexpectedly after her treatment. However, that is not the problem, as mistakes happen. The issue is that her department, along with the UM risk department, withheld & verifiably tampered records after my father's passing. In my view this is no different than a hit and run, with the exception that she should be held to a much higher standard. I believe the technician that treated my father was fired shortly thereafter.
