I was born and raised in New London my family would always go to Fred shanty. 2005 I moved to Rhode Island and I try to get there when I can so hopefully this Friday The 29th my Husband and I are going to stop by and get My favorite Long Dog and Onion Rings. Good Gosh they are Awesome

Moved away 22 years ago and still drive back to CT and stop the Fred's every chance I get..A staple of summer time!
THE best of the best. The breading for the fried clams (and oysters when they have them) is perfect - but even more important, they know EXACTLY how long to fry them. Come out perfect every time.
10/10 my jimmies have never been so ruffled, LOVE THIS PLACE
