We had a great meal. Hotdogs, cheeseburger, claim strips. We all really enjoyed the fries!! They were excellent. The woman working the ice cream was a bit rude and one of the workers looked miserable. The prices were great. Compared to another place in Niantic that is basically the same food wise. Fred's prices are great. The view of the water and boats while we ate was awesome. Thank you. 😊
Everything is great but, damn they make an awesome hotdog!!! Oh and try their fried pickles...yummy!!!

Freds' Shanty is a great place for lunch or even dinner. Their food is awesome and you definitely get your bsng for your buck. I highly recommend it. Love it.
This is the perfect spot for dinner or lunch on a nice day! The view and the food revival each other as the best part of the visit! The staff is pretty awesome too!
I'm very glad I decided to try the seafood at this place. After hearing relatives rave about the food there I can honestly say it was even better than I expected.
