Better drinks than food The food at Freds is nothing special. I think there are better places for Mexican food. The service was very slow and they were not too friendly. However, the margaritas were very good, so I would go back just for the drinks.
Dont Stop Disappointing, to say the least. It looked like a fun place, but once you get in, it is actually very 'blah'. Nothing special about the food, and where was the spice? I have had spicier food in Norway. Oh, and the fajitas came with 2 small flour tortillas, we asked for more and were charged for them. Would I go back? I don't see why I would.
Super taco's With so many restaurants in the Gaslamp district it's hard to choose which one to go to but when they have taco tuesday special you go and enjoy. I truly have never had a margarita like I did at Fred's. Pricing excellante, service fabulous. If you stay in a hotel near by it's better to walk then to try and find a parking space. Ole to Fred!!!!
