Great BBQ, amazing tri tip sandwich, kids had ribs and pulled pork sandwich and loved it!! Will definitely go back when I'm in Bakersfield.
Great Service! Glad to find a place that does tacos right in NW Bakersfield. Salsa bar has a good selection, and homemade beans come with tacos for a good price. Very clean, we'll be back again.
Fred's is really one of those extra kinda special hole in the wall places. As. San Diegan visiting Bakersfield, he sure pays extra attention to his grill. The meat melts away from the bone. Next time we end up that way, we are sure to visit it again. The grilled onions and frijoles fresh from the pot as an added extra pretty much sealed the deal. High Five Fred !

The BBQ boats are (tri-tip) are awesome. Tables are handicapped accessible. Service is great. Reasonable prices for the large amount food provided
Good barbecue, one of my favorite places especially on taco night. Darn good steaks too.
I almost waited my whole lunch hour for a raw burger I threw away. $11.37 wow I won't do that again
