Hats off to our very own community hospital! Because of their dedication, kindness, quick-thinking, etc. my wife, Molly survived the birth of our son in March! After 48 hrs of a failed induction, a massive blood transfusion, and 3 surgeries--my wife was able to make it through! I understand the hospital has a program called the Daisy Award, which is given to direct care nurses to acknowledge their extraordinary and compassionate care to patients. This place is the worst. Their ER team is among the worst. If you get Dr. Mathalier, run from the place. He has no empathy and he will spend as little time as possible with you. My partner walked in with a bloody face and this guy did nothing to clean him up. After waiting for six hours to get a CT scan, this guy couldn’t offer a good explanation for what happened and then prescribed a pain killer that required additional phone calls as the meds were above the normal dose. Worst medical experience of my life. Please save yourself and go to a different hospital.
When I told people I was planning to give birth here, I got a lot of skeptical looks. I'm not sure which department is giving FHH a funky reputation, but I can tell you it's definitely not Labor & Delivery. I had a phenomenal experience delivering my baby here!
