The store began as a watch repair business in Manhattan, later moving to a full service jewelry store in Queens, New York. A second store opened in Huntington, New York in the 1950's. Diane is the best! I went there 7 years ago to look at engagement rings and found the EXACT ring I wanted! Diane is very personal, warm, and happy to give you her personal opinion because she immediately learns your taste and your personality. I can't say the same for her sister Rachel. Avoid if possible. My fiancé worked with the ladies at Frassanito to design the most perfect engagement ring. I can't stop staring at it! I went back to the jeweler to get the ring sized down a bit and Rachel and Shana were so helpful and friendly. I dropped my ring off on a Saturday and I got it back on Tuesday. They assured me that I can come down whenever I want to have it cleaned. Very very very happy with this jeweler and I will definitely be using them when it comes time to pick out our wedding bands. I've been a customer for many, many years and Frassanito never disappoints! Was in last weekend to shop for all my Christmas gift jewelry needs; it was incredibly easy and pleasant. A wide selection of beautiful items in all price ranges. Highly recommend!
I've only bought one or two things there over the years but I've brought several pieces of jewelry and watches there for repair. The staff is very helpful and nice. They make you feel like you belong in the store weather you're paying $20 for a watch battery or $2000 for a piece of jewelry. I guess there's a reason they've been in business for so long!
