I have been a patient at Fraser Valley, Cataract and Laser for a number of years due to a serious eye condition. From my personal experience, I can say that Dr. Darren Payne is an exceptional doctor who cares sincerely for his patients. From the first meeting, an urgent referral, and over a number of years, he has treated my illness, following up with me every few months to ensure that I am healthy. I recently had surgery here and I have to say my overall experience was excellent. From the consultation appointments to the surgery and post surgery follow-ups, everything went so smoothly. All the staff takes good care of you. Dr. Chu and Dr. King are the best at what they do and I would highly recommend them to anyone! Very poor communication, very unprofessional. They’ll book you a month in advance, and cancel on you last minute, only to make you wait another month. This happened 2x. The staff and front desk don’t acknowledge you when you walk in. They leave you sitting for an hour. The nurses run around drinking the koolaid out of their Stanley cups and touching the front desk and walls without taking off their medical gloves. Unreliable, communication is a joke, unsanitary.

I recently got LASIK done here and I would like to say that the overall experience was excellent. From my initial consultation with Roger to the day of surgery and the follow up, everything went smooth. Dr. Chu is great and makes you feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Roger explained everything in detail, reassured me that I’m doing okay while in surgery, assisted me with care before and after the whole process. It was a great experience!
