I had a nasty fall and suspected a fracture in my pelvis. I saw Dr. Helzer to be examined and get an x-ray. He told me that it was impossible to fracture the pelvis and that getting an x-ray wouldn't be necessary because there was no way I had fractured it. He didn't even examine me. I have been using Metro Health Rockford for over 15 years. My original doctor left, and Dr. Helzer took over his patients. I wouldn’t recommend any other doctor besides him & my last doctor. He is kind, efficient, gets to the point. He doesn’t order unnecessary testing, & from what other people have said, he is NOT dismissive, by any means. He remembershh his patients, asks about your every day life, and even remembers details (if you give them) that are personal to you, & ONLY you, have told him in the past visits. He knew on January 20th, 2020 that I had Myleomalacia and did nothing to address this condition. His scheduler was rude and acted like she was the doctor. I'm considering legal action.
She is one of the best doctors I've had in my life (and I've had my fair share of horrible ones). She listens to me, she relaxes me, she understands when I am upset, she gives me the medication I need in order to heal, and my mom goes to her and loves her too!
I had gone to Dr. Martin Frantz and originally his brother Matthew for 30 some years. Every single time, without exception, I was treated effectively, both physically and with regard to my mental wellbeing. Dr. Marty was always kind, caring and competent. Because I moved out of the area, I can no longer see him, but I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good doctor, one that will treat you well and diagnose your problem every time as he did with myself and my family over the years.
This man is arrogant and threatens to not fill prescriptions. He does not listen and does not care about his patients' health.
If you have an unresolved medical issue one should mortgage one's home to procure his services. He really cares and I am so pleased he is looking after me. Few, if any can walk in his shadow.

He ruined my knee. I was seventeen when I went to Dr. Howard and after having an arthroscopic surgery by him and his P.A. Robin my knee works about as well as my 80 year old grandfather’s knees. Surgery went fine but afterwards my pain only grew. I called Howard and Robin over and over asking why the pain hadn’t settled down and what I should do but they brushed me off over and over, telling me to wait it out because I was young and it would heal on its own.
