I don’t believe all nonprofits provide the same degree of benefits. There are some outstanding nonprofits doing amazing things to make their communities better and to achieve their organizations' mission, but there are other nonprofits that seem satisfied to do little or nothing. I had a case manager here who I feel was very incompetent. She was emotionally unstable and expressed hostility towards me. She also persuaded me to make an appointment for counseling with her co-worker, which I interpreted as an attempt to get more money. I later found she had been arrested several times, including DUI -- I do not know who needed counseling most. I wish they had hired a few well trained professionals rather than amateurs in the field.
