This place is amazing. They do so much for every animal in Bergen in Morris County that is injured in the wild. They do it for free. The greatest employees also.
Just dropped off an injured cottontail bunny “Biscuit”. We know Donna and staff will do everything that can be done for Biscuit. Thank you!!!!
I switched to Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital from my original vet in Mahwah that I had for about a year. I adopted my dog from the shelter last summer. He’s always had an extreme coughing and clearing throat issue (mostly directly after drinking water) since I got him. I mentioned it to my original vet on more than one occasion, to which it was literally brushed off like it was nothing. Well, about 10 months into his time with me, he began passing out directly after severe co...Continue Reading
DO NOT TAKE WILDLIFE to this hospital. They will unnecessarily euthanize without even discussing it with you, they do not know what they're doing and are extremely rude when you call asking for help. I made the mistake of taking a injured animal here and I will never make the same mistake again.
Awesome place, awesome staff!
I found an abandoned baby raccoon that had eyes closed shut due to an infection. I had no idea what to do. As a huge animal lover, there was no way I felt right leaving her nor did I feel right letting animal control deal with her. My friend let me know Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital takes in wild animals. I was thrilled as I never knew this. I am in awe that no other hospital in the area does this. They took her right away cleaned up her eyes and are nursing her back to health with other raccoon babies that are already ther... read more
Thank you to everyone at FLAH for helping me today! I didn't know where I could turn when I found myself in charge of 4 unearthed baby rabbits (their nest was destroyed by a lawnmower- and the property owner did not want to leave them where they had been found). Thankfully, FLAH accepted them and will take them to a safe location to be released. Added bonus, every staff member who I encountered was super friendly and eager to help me. It's great to know you guys are there and I are eager to help whenever you can! Thank you!
I found a deer mouse with its back legs broken and every other place i called for help with it acted like i was crazy for taking in this little creature. The staff at Franklin Lakes were so kind when i called and were so happy to help. I brought the mouse in free of charge and they told me they'd do everything possible to keep it comfortable with some other mouses they already had. This place truly made my day! filled with kind people.
