My daughter went to him for years when she was young and after she turned 18. He has a personality like cardboard. He is good with prescribing meds but be careful even with that. Quite often he won't tell you the possible side effects which can be devastating when trying new meds. I tried changing to another psychiatrist but it takes months to find another one or there aren't any available. I called him for help when my daughter went "ballistic" once and he said, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?"
Absolutely terrible experience. Horrible uncaring physician. I have been to different therapists before and after Dr. Rumore, and he was one of the worst. He prescribed the wrong medications, and too much of them. I quickly got worse and became suicidal. I was doing things that were completely out of character for me, and not remembering what I did. After a suicide attempt that got me picked up on a 5150, my spouse accompanied me on my appointment to see Dr. Rumore, hoping to talk to him with my permission. This enraged the ... read more
