The name of this restaurant has nothing to do with actual people named Frankie or Johnnie, in fact the words are old passwords between revelers and managers during Prohibition. 'Frankie' was used at the door, and if the reply was 'Johnnie', the drinking could start. Simply the best steak I've ever had!!
Nice place, close to Times Square. However, salad came with the wrong dressing. They did get the right one the second time. My steak I ordered med-rare it came out well-done. Had to wait for my waiter to come around. He did get me a new steak, but took to long, it was better, but the edges we well done. Only go back if someone insists.
