EXCEPTIONAL FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE!! – Six of us went for a special dinner on a Thursday night. So so at best – I have eaten in many steakhouses across the country, and have lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn for over 60 years. While Peter Luger will never be topped, I have rarely eaten in a steakhouse where i left unhappy. UNTIL TONIGHT. HORIFFIC!! I have never experienced such disgust!!! – Never in my life have I ever experienced such a horrible waiting experience. Several friends and I went out for a friend's 21st birthdat party and were treated like dirt. Actually, I believe dirt may have recieved better service. So so experience, a service stumble – Cons: 8pm reservations, weren't seated until 8:40p. They apologized, at least, but no offer of a drink or appetizer. Hostess was at times in a full run in the middle of the restaurant trying to seat people....admirable effort but disorganized and unprofessional. Fantastic! – I thought Frankie & Johnnie's was great. The food and service was excellent. My boyfriend and I went there and both had steaks that were melt in your mouth good. They also had an amazing lobster bisque soup but I think it was a special. In the middle of our dinner, my boyfriend tells me not to look but Joe Torre is walking in.
