ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! – We were a party of 8 and we loved every minute of our evening at frankie and johnnies in rye... From the larger than average size martinis to the selection of cabernets on the wine list to the steaks and side dishes... For starters we asked the waiter to make us a cold seafood platter... Kumammoto oysters were fresh and chilled, as were the clams and the crabmeat... we all ordered salads which were good and then we all ordered steaks... some tbone others filet and sirloin and one couple had the port... read more

EXCEPTIONAL FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE!! – Six of us went for a special dinner on a Thursday night. We had a beautiful table and the atmosphere of candles and mahogany made us feel like we were in a gorgeous home dining room. The Food! Every selection was outstanding. The Porterhouse for two, Dover Sole and Filet Mignon on the Bone...all cooked perfectly and just delicious. We had wonderful wine....there was a huge selection. The Service...Top notch, experienced waiters who helped us with our choices and advised us when we a... read more

So so at best – I have eaten in many steakhouses across the country, and have lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn for over 60 years. While Peter Luger will never be topped, I have rarely eaten in a steakhouse where i left unhappy. UNTIL TONIGHT. I took my son and my sister out to dinner at Frankie and Johnnies in Rye and was very disappointed in the service and the food. The salads and crab cake were good. The steak of all things was NOT. We ordered out steaks medium and medium well..... they came out RARE. I never complain and ... read more

HORIFFIC!! I have never experienced such disgust!!! – Never in my life have I ever experienced such a horrible waiting experience. Several friends and I went out for a friend's 21st birthdat party and were treated like dirt. Actually, I believe dirt may have recieved better service. The waiter had a nasty attitude and got the birthday girl's order wrong. He then began to argue that she had ordered shrimp but she told him calmly that she was allergic and that he must have heard her wrong. Really, she was too nice if you ask m... read more

So so experience, a service stumble – Cons: 8pm reservations, weren't seated until 8:40p. They apologized, at least, but no offer of a drink or appetizer. Hostess was at times in a full run in the middle of the restaurant trying to seat people....admirable effort but disorganized and unprofessional. Waiter disappeared for 15 minutes after drink orders, and was in a hurry to take our orders and move on with his life. Had no interest in discussing the menu. Water glasses continually left unfilled. Sirloin was was quite sinewy ... read more

WONDERFUL PLACE TO EAT – The staff is great. The steak melts in your mouth. The souffle is the best. Alittle expensive, but worth it.

This local mini-chain has been serving quality dry-aged steaks for more than 75 years. – In Short The original opened as a speakeasy in 1926, and the other locations retain much of that atmosphere, with deep velvet benches and wooden tables topped with white tablecloths. Alongside the USDA-prime, dry-cut steaks, the menu features standard steakhouse fare: appetizers like shrimp cocktail, fresh oysters and clams, an array of salads, soups, pastas and vegetable sides, and non-steak entrees as well--filet mignon, lamb, veal and... read more

Best! – I saw you at the best of Westchester event in September. The filet mignon that you served was amazing. I can not wait to come in and try your other items. Your staff was very enthusiastic.

Fantastic! – I thought Frankie & Johnnie's was great. The food and service was excellent. My boyfriend and I went there and both had steaks that were melt in your mouth good. They also had an amazing lobster bisque soup but I think it was a special. In the middle of our dinner, my boyfriend tells me not to look but Joe Torre is walking in. Sure enough he was, and they sat him and his wife at the table next to ours. He is a regular there the bartender said. So, if you are looking for a romantic evening and great food and a ch... read more
