White birch beer is great
If you don't want it burnt ask for 'no char' or it will be burnt
In the summer, it's the Fresh Tomato pie. But wait until later in the season... early tomatoes are not as ripe and sweet. (Oh yeah, and be prepared to wait for a table 🤣).
Perfect New Haven style pizza. What this place lacks in atmosphere it gains in taste. Worth the wait. We enjoyed the clam pizza, seasonal speciality, and house special along with the house salad.
There are two locations almost side by side. The smaller one that sits back from the street is the original location. I've been told it is better than the newer location.
White Clam Pizza
The rumors are true. Best pizza in CT and after having the white clam pizza I now understand what all the rage is about.
Legendary and certainly great pizza. Didn't love it enough to definitively call it the best pizza in New Haven.
Go straight inside and skip the line if you're doing takeout!
