Dr. Schmidt did a valve replacement and 2 bypasses 8 years ago on my dad, Adel Basma. My dad was very comfortable every step of the way, and until this day brags about him continuously. God bless you Dr. Schmidt wherever you are and thank you so much for all you’ve done for our family. You’re the reason he’s with us today, and there’s no way for us to show you the gratitude you deserve. Much love from the Basma family.
This very talented surgeon performed multiple surgeries on my father in 2012 totally saving his life! My dad was 78-79 years old and a bad pneumonia infection had turned Dad's insides Septic (necrotising fashiatus). His time in SFH's ICU was almost a month. You can say what you want about his "bedside manner", this doctor kept working on him over many weeks. My dad is a healthy 87 years old today! THANK YOU DR SCHMIDT!
He did surgery on my ascending aortic aneurysm and mitral valve back in 2015. He did an excellent job. When I asked a question he would be direct and answer so I could understand.
Did a triple bypass on me at St Francis in August of 2016. Did a great job, no problems at all after. I don't care if others say he has no bedside manner, as he saw me twice after surgery and was very nice both times. If I ever have any problems again , I will ask for him by name.
Did my carotid artery surgery. No bedside manners. Saw me once in ICU. Didn't tell me much. Not very good after care. He doesn't work for St. Francis any longer. Not happy with him. Very rude.
