This is the worse restaurant ever I ordered a legumes with white rice and sauce pois rice is not cooked and looks like plastic the legumes was in the same plate with the rice and the fish was on top of the rice too and soon as I see the representations I know the food was disgusting 🤮 no taste I threw all the food away mind you I’m driving truck over the road at first I was happy that I found this Haitian restaurant $100 food waste
I ordered the griot plate with black rice. The food was seasoned to my liking. However, I can’t say the same for how it was cooked. I got food poisoning from the meat. As I was eating I noticed some stringy slimy things on the griot. I had already eaten half of the plate before I realized that the meat was spoiled. As a result I had diarrhea for 24 hours. I’m lucky it wasn’t worse. I wanted to support a Haitian business but I was disappointed that food safety was not considered.
Today this business lost me as a customer. A person who’s a repeat customer. I ordered fried goat like I usually do. When I got home I realized that the portion size is smaller than usual. To make matters worse, what I received was mostly bones. I called the restaurant to inform them, and the employee stated that it was all they had, and that he tried to give me all they had. Not sure how this place gets so many rave reviews. I was so disappointed. I ordered griot, diri and sos pwa, and cabbage. Let’s start with the decent. The griot was crispy! But that’s where it stops. The food wasn’t flavorful, the piklis tasted spoiled (which is hard to do with a pickled food), and don’t get me started on the rice and sos pwa smh. Did not live up to the hype. And there were flies all over the sitting area while I waited for my food.
Food was a 10/10 and served hot and on time. This place is slept on!!
