Would not recommend this clinic. Very unhelpful lactation consultants who provided few answers to our questions. Additionally with this location you have to walk through old and seemingly sick patients to get to the consultants. Not something a parent should have to do before their new baby has had all of their vaccinations. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for lactation consultants.
If I followed the advice we received here I would likely be exclusively pumping. I went to Fern lactation for a 2nd opinion and was given advice that contradicted what I was told here, and I was able to nurse easily within a couple of weeks.
Only two lactation consultants here were actually friendly and knowledgeable. Both of them were per diem though so it was very hard to get an appointment with them. One was named Kristin and the other I can't remember her name but she was a Hispanic woman. I also got my son's posterior tongue tie released here by Cheryl White (twice) and I don't not recommend her at all.
Our baby learned to feed perfectly right after birth, and we were given bad medical advice to not introduce bottle feeding until after three months. Our baby has grown out of the feeding reflex and now chooses to not take the bottle and it is impossible to feed him when the mother is off at work to the detriment of baby and caregiver. I would be cautious about visiting this outpatient service and perhaps use another.
Debbie was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. As new parents we didn't really know much in this department. I highly recommend making the time for working with these warm and thoughtful experts.
