I left this appointment concerned about the quality of care I received, specifically during the process of having my blood pressure taken. The medical assistant initially placed the blood pressure cuff on my forearm rather than my upper arm. I understand that obtaining a blood pressure on the forearm is an accepted alternative in certain situations and, when performed correctly, can provide an accurate reading.
