Had the best experience ever at this office. The nurse was awesome and Dr Mayeda was the best!! Never had such a smooth visit in my life. So if you are looking for a ob/gyn he's #1
Dr Mayeda performed my surgery and I had the greatest confidence in him from the beginning. He is highly respected by many.
Dr. Mayeda was the second Dr. I saw here during my pregnancy and he clearly didn't read my file before our appointment. Spent all of five minutes in the room going over information on a VBAC versus 2nd c-section that I had already heard from Dr. Levine. Dr. Levine had told me that there was no reason I couldn't do a VBAC while Dr. Mayeda spent his 5 minutes with me trying to scare me into consenting to another c-section!His PA spent more time with us than he did.
Dr. Mayeda is the only Dr at the practice I have met that I haven't like I just don't think he has the greatest bedside manner. He sends his PA in before him, leaving him about 20 seconds that he spends with a patient. When he does appear, he goes right to the counter to write things down, barely interacting the patient. Just a tip: when a pregnant woman tells you of pain or discomfort she is experiencing, "well you signed up for this" is never appropriate. He's dismissive and condescending

Dr. Mayeda delivered my first child. While going to routine visits he would always have "an assistant." Always a young girl. One time I heard them talking about me outside of the door. I decided not to use a certain medication as I was supposed to insert it vaginally and I read the warnings that it crosses the placental barrier. Well apparently he didn't like my decision and was talking rude about me to his "assistant." Very unprofessional! As a first time mother, they need to make us welcomed.
I've been a pt of Dr. Mayedas for some time now. Recently I've had some "issues" down there and went to see him yesterday. I was pretty worried because I have a history of HPV. He came in the room, barely spoke to me, asked his student trainee what was going on. I asked some questions and he answered them as if I were a child and should have known the answer. He was very short with me and left in a hurry. I didn't even have time to ask everything I needed to. I felt rushed and very uncomfortable
Dr. Mayeda doesn't communicate well. He fails to provide enough info on side effects for procedures like ESSURE, and does not sure patients clearly understand the risks. He doesn't pre-test patients for these procedures to ensure there are no allergic issues that may trigger severe problems and require future surgeries.
