So we stopped at this restaurant in Cambridge. Looking for a place to have dinner and a draft. I drove, so my husband did not bring his wallet. We we're seated immediately, no one was in the restaurant at 6:30 pm(should have been an omen). My husband (who is 62) requests a beer. She said she cannot serve him without seeing his ID. At first we thought "how cute", she was serious. I was going to order a beer for him, feeling like we were in our twenties again, but she said she couldn't allow that. Went there for breakfast. I ordered an omelet and asked to substitute the potatoes and bread that came with it with some veggies or a salad as I’m diabetic. I was told “we don’t do that, if you want something else you’ll have to order it extra.” I had to pay full price for half the meal other people get when they order the same omelet. I won’t be back until they can be bothered to accommodate dietary restrictions.
Don’t let the price range icon fool you. Just because there’s only one $ and not 3 doesn’t mean the food isn’t good. I’ve been eating here for the past five months since I found the Francis Family Restaurant and have tried nearly everything on the menu. I can tell you with absolute surety that not only is the food delicious, it is consistently delicious! The staff is also consistently attentive and excellent in everything they do. You just can’t go wrong here!
