I lived at Terra at Bostonia in El Cajon for about two years. During my tenancy, many maintenance issues in the apartment were never properly addressed. Communication with management was often slow or unhelpful. After moving out on January 27, my security deposit still has not been returned. I'm very happy living in these apartments. I've only been here a few days, but I like the atmosphere; it's quiet, the place is beautiful, and the area is clean. I recommend it; the people in the management office are very friendly.
I’m giving 3 stars to the Gaylord under the new management, Asset Living. I really appreciate that they finally fixed a gaping hole in my shower ceiling—a problem that’s existed for 4 years under several previous managements and led to a housing violation at the Gaylord. I’m really grateful they addressed it. That said, throughout my time living here, even under previous management, I received one notice a month—sometimes even twice a week. I noticed 3 or 4 electrical outlets did not work. Put in a request. Within moments, Mark with our maintained department, called and was on his way up to my apartment. Explained & showed me what happened. Everything is working great. I asked about another issue I had. He said put in a request & I’ll be up to help you. I have not had any issues with maintenance here at Vintage at Spanish Spanish in the 2 years I’ve lived here.
My ac went out and the first person who checked it did not seem to know much and said it was fixed but it only worked a couple hours. The next person (Garrett) came and he obviously knew what he was doing. He checked everything inside and out. Saw that the capacitor needed replacement and ordered the part right away. The office had them give me a portable a/c unit into the part came in. It was sufficient in keeping it cool while the part was on order.
