The African American security guard downstairs tried to pressure us for a tip and initially refused to let us go upstairs or enter the bar. We had a reservation at Jean-Georges restaurant, so there was absolutely no reason for this behavior, and of course he received no tip. Later he came upstairs and followed me as I was walking back alone from the restroom to our table. As he walked behind me, he kept whistling at my back and harassing me in a very inappropriate way. Disappointing to say the least. Checking in with Chris was a delight. We purchased a room for my daughter’s wedding night. He offered an upgrade and a fruit platter. Plus checkout at 2PM. My daughter checked in on her wedding night, she didn’t get the upgrade, no fruit platter and no late checkout. I got them excited for nothing. Big disappointment. I will never stay at this hotel again.
My partner and I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. The hotel staff was so accommodating and definitely went above and beyond to make our stay special and personalized. Dinner in Skyhigh was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
