Took my baby there to be put down (cancer). They didn't give her enough sedative, they couldn't get an IV in, she cried out and was terrified. She struggled and had to be held down. I feel as though I betrayed her in her final moments as she struggled. She never went to sleep until her heart stopped. I have gone there for years and had good experiences. I don't know if it's new staff or what but I will NEVER go back there.

You are correct, this is not the end of life process we want for any client and patient. We have two pets at this clinic and couldn’t be happier with the service. The staff is always friendly and they’re responsive when we have concerns. I appreciate that the vet here doesn’t recommend unnecessary services and products but gives our pets exactly the attention they need. When we day-boarded our puppy, she got to spend all day hanging out with the staff everywhere they went, and didn’t just spend her day in a kennel. We are extremely pleased with Four Paws and plan to stay as long as we are in Fredericksburg!

This place was a waste of time and money. I took my cat here on Thursday and was charged nearly $300 for lab tests, pain medicine, and 4 cans of food. I was told I'd have the lab results within 24 hours. On Saturday they were supposed to email the results to a different vet. After speaking with them several times, they only sent part of the results before closing for the weekend. Therefore, I had to pay for the same tests again. We had a bit of a scare with our 3 year old border collie today. We’re new to the area and this place was an answer to my prayers. This animal hospital is outstanding! The staff is extremely caring and helpful. Their team is fast and organized in an emergency situation. It is clear that they care about your pet as if it’s their own. I am so impressed. Thank you Four Paws, for being there for not only my pet but for me as well. I can’t express how grateful I am.

We have been taking our German Shepherd and pitbull mix to Four Paws Animal Hospital for 1 year. Our first visit was because our dog was itching and they prescribed Apoquel to us, which they claimed would be a drug that would help stop his itching. We weren't informed of any serious side effects from using the drug. However, after giving it to our GS for a month, we did some research and found that it is a drug that is known to reduce bone marrow as an anti itching drug. Established Shadow as a patient here. Everyone was amazing. Shadow was very happy and relaxed. I highly recommend Four Paws Animal Hospital. It’s nice to know they take care of emergencies but hopefully I won’t need that service!
