They said they knew how to install full-home backup generators, and gave a reasonable quote, but I get the impression that that was a lie, based on how chaotic the process was. I purchased and placed the generator on a pad, right outside the meter/main panel myself, and only hired them to run the wires and connect the ATS. Their portion of the work took 2.5 months, and they had to come out 6 or 7 times, in part to address their repeated failed inspections (forcing them to rerun wire, rip out their previous work, etc).
