I was recommended by tax lien code. I transferred my money to Fortis bank to do tax liens and deeds. Once I transferred my money to them they stopped responding to my questions and online messages. I was not able to purchase tax liens. 2 of my tax liens were rejected and refunded due to non acceptance from my bank. Real auction.com was not able to authenticate my bank information and was rejected (lost another tax lien of $4,800 @18% interest) Fortis bank said it was due to insufficient funds. I just needed to exchange some $20s for smaller bills and they told me if I’m not a customer then they wouldn’t do it. And that’s how you get someone to not be a customer. 🤷‍♂️

Fortis holds itself out as a small, private bank that can more nimbly take care of customers. In my experience, over three years, the opposite was true. I brought four loan opportunities to Fortis. Each was turned down due to institutional barriers (not the viability of the loans). Communication was consistently poor. And, the rates available are not competitive. I’m in the process of moving my business.
