I just needed to exchange some $20s for smaller bills and they told me if I’m not a customer then they wouldn’t do it. And that’s how you get someone to not be a customer. 🤷♂️
Fortis holds itself out as a small, private bank that can more nimbly take care of customers. In my experience, over three years, the opposite was true. I brought four loan opportunities to Fortis. Each was turned down due to institutional barriers (not the viability of the loans). Communication was consistently poor. And, the rates available are not competitive. I’m in the process of moving my business.
Be warned about this bank. They will lend you money and if the the interest goes up and they don't think they are making enough, they will call in the loan. I have never heard of a bank that you pay on time and they call in a loan. This bank even wrote a threatening letter from the Bank President. They are a very small bank and don't have resources to handle bigger deals, that is probably the reason they had to call in the loan. Stay away at all costs. Too many great banks in Denver , there is no need to use Fortis.
Fortis Private Bank has a 3.3 star rating with 7 reviews.
Fortis Private Bank is closed now. It will open on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
