I was the Manager of Market development in Michigan for three skilled nursing centers owned by Fortis. Two centers are located in Traverse City and one in Suttons Bay. A year after being employed by Fortis, I was "promoted" to Central intake manager. Well, where should I start. Maybe the first 5 months because that was how long it took to get a working computer to perform my hired job duties, and I won't mention actual work space time frame. 90% of my duties involve pulling policies and educating on them. Since the building had not updated their manuals in years, I was required to pull most current policies off the intranet Fortis site. Worked in Northeast Michigan. Management is a joke as well as the clicky circle of employees who act like there management as well. Patients are pretty much taken care of, (for lack of better words) by kids who do nothing but gossip and cause drama. Turn over is so high. You get mandated all the time so the staff working are brain dead or just plan stupid. Heres a clue..get ride of most of its management and some of the negitive nurses.
