Home away from home During our last hurricane we lost our power. Not wanting my family to be uncomfortabel and/or frightened all night, I decided to dip into the savings account and take us to a hotel until our power was respored. I was expecting the prices to be ehhorbitant but was pleasantly surprised to find that they had actually LOWERED their prices to accomodate the hurricane crowd. Embarrasingly Bad I went to the Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year banquet at this hotel and I couldn't believe how exceptionally bad this event turned out. The food was gross and that's the best thing I can say about it. The event planner for our county chose a buffet, which was a bad choice for a semi-formal event with hundreds of people, but the food on the buffet should have beem much better. In addition, the lines and choices were not clear, so people ended up waiting in line twice for the same food. I'm not ... read more
Great hotel I spent the night here during the tatoo expo that was going on in the hotel's lobby, and I must admit it was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the food, and they have a full bar with great drinks. The rooms are clean and cozy, big comfy beds, fridge, anything eles you may need. Prices are about average for a nice 5 star hotel like this, very friendly and helpful staff also.
Great for parties of every caliber From baby showers to Bat Mitzvah's the Marriot Heron Bay provides the perfect venue. I was the guest of honor at a Baby Shower bruch - the food was amazing (not easy for a pregnant girl to say) and the service was top-notch. I have also attended several evening affairs here and, again - top notch food and staff. They have many vendors they will recommend for your event, from DJs to Italian Ices carts to make your party fun and unique. PROS: Fabulous at every level CONS: none
wedding I attended a wedding here and the service was bad. I couldn't find a waiter to get more water. The food tasted like card board. The room was totally boring looking inside even with the wedding flowers on the tables. The service was just about non existent. There was a sit down dinner. The wedding cake tasted like dust.
