Everyone at formalities were well wonderful! Everything was perfect with our dresses and I received so many compliments on my dress! Would recommend them to anyone!
The staff at Formalities were extremely helpful when I was trying to pick out my wedding dress. I was there for hours and just couldn't seem to find one that fit. Everyone was very kind as I was beginning to get discouraged, thinking I would never find a dress in my budget. I chose a dress that I was okay with wearing, and as I was checking out, my mother in law grabbed a dress and said, "What about this?" I am mother a mother of the bride who after some not so great service at a State College bridal shop hoped I'd find a dress at my second stop Formalities. I had ordered a dress on-line but was not happy with it. My daughter's wedding is about 4 weeks away so I was a little stressed. I just want to say the service and attention I received was the best. I would highly recommend to come here for your dresses and tuxes they made my daughters wedding come true when she got the dress in the mail she ordered was not even close to what she wanted 24 days before her wedding she found out that they had put a gown on sale that she had want from the first day she saw it and the gave us an amazing seamstress to fit the dress in time as well and she was great they have an amazing staff that will do anything to help make your day special so to the formalities owner and staff you will tr... read more
I had made an appointment and everything to look at dresses for my wedding and we get there my mom and mother in law with me and not 1 person helped us after the 1st dress my mom's n I went and picked out the dresses ourselves now understand by this time I'd had on probably about 90 dresses n really wanted help narrowing down what I wanted and not once did I get that from anyone in there at all. I walked into Formalities and was allowed to look around questions answered. Took my mother there and found the most amazing dress for the bridesmaid. They even made my day even more when they showed me the color I was looking for. Thank you to the staff at Formalities. They were even tickled when I told them my theme.
I would definitely recommend Formalities. We were to many stores for a prom dress and Formalities was the Best. All of the staff was very welcoming and very helpful. Definitely worth our hour drive.

Formalities is amazing! I bought my prom dress there in 2010 and then this past Saturday, I bought my wedding dress. Kristen was the associate who helped me try on dresses and she was beyond phenomenal. She was nice, helpful, and tons of fun! I couldn't have hoped for a better person to help me find my dress. She's really great at getting to know you and talking to you like she's known you forever. Everyone at Formalities is great and they all make you feel welcome. My wedding party and I had a great time :D
