SCAMMERS, STAY FAR, FAR AWAY. They said I needed root planing and scaling when I absolutely didn’t, and I paid almost $1000 because they said it’s not covered under my insurance. It is absolutely covered as long as they could PROVE I had it and I didn’t. I hope this scamming dentist is shut down

Dr. Shelyan is a good dentist, and a nice one at that, but he has a particular style that doesn't work for me, and that I think would be useful to let others know about. He is very aggressive in his treatment recommendations (not in how he recommends it, but in the choice itself). If anything is even a little bit wrong, he suggests the most intense procedure. I had a very good experience here! Dr. Shelyan was extremely kind, warm and knowledgeable. He was very thorough in his explanations and took the time to share a lot of information about my teeth, why they recommend certain treatments, etc. I also respected his honesty in everything while leaving all decisions up to me at the end. The hygienist, Armen was also very gentle and did an amazing job! I am so glad to have found a trusted dentist in la!
