Foreign Cinema

4.5

About this business

Opened by a team that believes dinner and a movie are a natural combination, this courtyard restaurant and bar keeps an internationally intellectual atmosphere by projecting the films of Fellini, Godard and company on its neighbor’s walls. Tableside speakers add a drive-in feel to the French bistro fare, letting the films function as either the background or a main attraction. Reservations are recommended as Foreign Cinema is one of the leading contestants in the Mission hipness race.

great brunch! I went here for brunch on my 3rd day in town. the breakfast was a little small but delicious. The bloody mary was average, nothing special but eh outdoor seating was just what I was looking for.

Good Atmosphere We came here on our anniversary, I thought we were going to eat dinner then watch a movie by the name of the restaurant but I was wrong, there is a movie playing on two big screens in the background and the food was great. The persimmon and cheese platter was tasty.

Cocktails a must! I have only had brunch here, but was fortunate enough to be exposed to their fantastic French 75, a cocktail that is made with champagne and gin. It is to die for, and gives you that lovely buzz that goes so well with organic scrambled eggs and artisan bread.

Good food terrible service. It was a nice evening despite the awful waiter who was rude to all my guests and me.
