Our server Greg made our visit so special. The food was cooked to perfection. The carrots were so good that my husband ate them! If you are looking for a special dinner, this is your place.

One of the best, fine cuisine restaurants in Portland, and all of Maine. From the amazing fresh menu, to the wood grilled specialities, to the amazimg service, Fore Street is worth a visit every trip to Portland. Sarah was incredible as our server, and in addition to being so informative and friendly, she was great with adding some wine suggestions and plate prep thoughts. Such a great place.
We come here once a year for our anniversary and love it. They always have such good food and the service is always great!! Highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is great and we love the open kitchen concept. We told our waitress we were there for our anniversary and she came back with the dessert we ordered with happy anniversary on it! That was the best!!
Fore street serves up 360 degrees of stimulation. I experienced 2 hours of energetic entertainment. I couldn’t take my eyes off the 20+ culinary and wait staff working their magic like a a fine tuned orchestra. You can tell that a genius spent hours perfecting that evening’s menu. There’s no way that such a complex list of ingredients could be rushed by a less passionate person. Kudos to the team for buying into the concept that perfection is the key ingredient. WOW!
The food was delicious. The A/C was too high, and it was freezing! The wait staff was terrific. The coffee was burnt, but when we told the waitress, she offered to make a fresh pot. We declined because we wanted caffeine at that moment. The hanger steak was a little tough. The scallops were perfect! The mashed potatoes were the best!
