I hope people realize that any of the poor reviews were from years ago before it was renovated. Our stay started with a warm, inviting welcome at the front desk. We were informed about the coffee, tea and water provided in our room and told if we needed any additional, not to hesitate to ask. The room was small but plenty for what we need and SPOTLESSLY clean. The queen bed was so, so comfortable. This motel has leaned into it's retro vibe and I loved it. For the budget conscious this is a great place to stay on the way to or from Tahoe. Basic room is a bit on the small side but it is manageable. Clean comfortable and with a handful of in room amenities. If you have the time the bowling alley is next door and so is a Tesla Charger (open to others with an adapter) for your EV needs. Location is great and in Feb we had a good/quiet night's rest. Absolutely a great value for money (don't think of a large chain hotel, but rather a clean, safe, quiet bed for the night).
This place was recommended by my brother who lives here and we were coming for a party. The staff is truly amazing and accommodating. We had changed the number of guests and they upgraded our room at no extra charge which was so nice. The rooms are clean and love the location and parking is in front of your room. I love the retro theme and how classic it all is. And you really can't beat the price. We will definitely be back! The rooms are newly modeled. It's warm, cozy, comfortable, close to all restaurants. It's a very comfortable and quiet place to stay I highly recommended it. I will be going back many times. A quiet little place off the street. Rates are great too...good value.
