Delicious Deli and nice displays The deli at this Co-op always has a good selction of my favorite vegan treats, including huge creatively stuffed Inari shells. The staff are always very helpful and knowledgable.
Food Front A co-op in the best sense of the word, this cozy and efficient grocery is like Whole Foods at 1/10th the size and scrubbed of its corporate sheen. Produce, bulk, deli with freshly produced dishes, household supplies, vitamins, and a best-of collection of packaged foodstuffs, you could get away with only shopping here. One of a select number of co-ops in all Portland.
This store is my favorite! I absolutely LOVE this co-op. Their deli provides fresh fast healthy food that tastes delicious and is also reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, and it's always a pleasure to shop there!
Best Produce in NW ! Fresh, organic and plentiful, the fruit & vegetable selection is always delicious and among the best I've seen! The wine selection is great, and case pricing is fair. Unique and hard to find items, friendly co-op staff that knows their stuff!
Coops are good Food Front is larger than People's Coop in SE, but it has a lot more packaging and non-local products. Nevertheless, it was still light years better than your average Safeway or Fred Meyers. If you live nearby, I would recommend becoming a member. They even have a bulk toy bin, something I've never seen anywhere else.
