Food for People is the major hunger relief agency for Humboldt County. We provide hunger relief services for more than 12,000 households countywide each month - 10% of Humboldt County's population. Our 18 hunger relief programs include countywide food assistance, child, senior and homebound nutrition, fresh and local produce, nutrition education, advocacy and CalFresh outreach, emergency and disaster response, and numerous partnerships with local entities.

I've had the pleasure of being able to go to The Pantry as a proxy for clients who are homebound. The quality of the food is very good and the quantity they receive makes a real difference and making monthly dollars stretch. What a wonderful resource for our community! Thank you to the volunteers and staff for their hard work. The food pantry makes a real difference in people's lives.
17 food pantries from Orick to Bridgeville to Garberville, Backpacks For Kids, free produce markets, gleening, homebound delivery and more. Food For People is an incredible organization that our community should be very proud of. If your measure of a community organization is people served they win. If it's "bang for your buck" they win. The are the best people in the world. We worked with them with the KHUM food drive! It was a blast and we raised tons of funds/food.
