We shop at food for less for the basic necessities since their produce and meats are horrible but I can get cheap canned and packaged goods. Well today, with the chaos of COVID19, I was told I could not bring in my reusable bags (even though we bag our own groceries), but I understood since most stores are doing this, however the difference is that when I went to check out, I was told I still had to pay for bags if I wanted them or I could put everything back in my cart and bag it at my car. Just bought a beautiful decorated birthday cake from this store. It was suppose to be a chocolate cake and ended up being a white cake. Kinda upset that it wasnt what I ordered.
This was our go to store since they built it as it's close to the house. We put up with a lot of their issues over the years (rancid chicken, chunky coffee creamer, dairy past the expiration dates) and brought all issues up to the managers. But the staff attitude over the past few months has been awful. I've brought up my concerns and have been told to contact corporate. I hate spending more at Vons, but it's a lot less stressful and doesn't look like it's been looted every day.
Just found out of incidents of Police Officers not being allowed to make purchases in Kroger stores. NOTHING was done to accommodate these customers after cashiers refused service! One gal only had at shirt that said BLUE LIVES MATTER and cashier would not process her order and was forced to leave store without her groceries. I WILL NOT SPEND MY MONEY AT YOUR STORE ANYMORE OR ANY AFFILIATED BUSINESS UNTIL YOUR COMPANY APOLOGIZES AND FIRES THOSE HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES!!! I pray many people follow suit! I've given it a year and I can honestly say the store is 10 times better than El Cajon, but with some of the smelly middle eastern customers I've decided never to shop here again. While the cashiers are nice and they have some good deals. The rude ugly fat woman and her fat cow daughter I encountered today can have it! I'm going back to Vons.

One of the Cashiers in the store has a bad attitude towards couponers!! I dont know what's her problem. She embarassed me in front of the other customers!! My transac is legitimate. Mgr had go signal for it but she kept on stating if she would be to decide she wil not do it!! My God, couponers are not stealing the merchandise, we are paying with coupons!!
