Fontainebleau is a Miami Beach classic with grand architecture and lively pools, but given the high prices, it fell short of expectations: Cleanliness & Maintenance: Housekeeping is severely lacking. Room cleaning was inconsistent, and basic hygiene standards were not met throughout our stay, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. This hotel is expensive, but the experience simply doesn’t justify the cost. It’s disappointing to see such a decline in a property I once thought highly of. After this stay, it will be a long time before I consider coming back. We checked in expecting the ocean view we paid for, only to be given a bay view. We had to return to the front desk, move our belongings, and switch rooms. The hotel called this a “complimentary upgrade,” even though we were simply getting what we had originally booked.
