The unique menu, fun decor and drinks, and great waitstaff make this a go-to spot. It was my first time in Des Moines, and several people recommended Fong's. I'm glad my friends and I listened!
Every time we come it's all fantastic! This time we had the raspberry cheesecake egg rolls and they were phenomenal. Won't be able to leave again without them!
Best pizza I have ever had. Crab Rangoon was amazing. A must go if you visiting Des Moines.
The Gluten free hunan pork was super yummy. As was the blood orange margarita.
Fong's Pizza....hmmmm....heard about the place, but never have been there until last night before the Carrie Underwood concert at Wells Fargo Arena. It was small, but good atmosphere. The staff was fun and helped us with our order. Got the Crab Rangoon pizza, which was weird sounding, but really good. Nice crust! Got some Waving Kitty drinks and an egg roll dessert too! My group was there last night and we loved it.The crab Rangoon pizza was hot,crispy and delicious. A medium size was plenty for the four of us,because we got a free slice of pizza with each beer we ordered.The waitress brought me a kamikaze shot and the special helmet to wear just because we happened to mention my birthday.She helped with our picture taking and was very helpful and accommodating.I'm only upset because I don't remember her name.This was the original downtown location,I haven't visited the other location.
Great pizza, fun atmosphere, excellent service! I have to give a shout out to Alex. My husband and I got into Des Moines Friday, had dinner at Fong's, and Alex was our waiter. He was very attentive, and incredibly knowledgable about all menu items. We came back for lunch on Sunday, when our friends got into town. Alex was again our waiter, and provided excellent customer service as he did Friday evening. Cheese sticks were bland, pizza did not taste like crab rangoon, the crab rangoon was ok. The best thing from what I had was the water
